Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Engineer role based in Singapore. The Construction Engineer will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate construction activities, and ensure work is carried out in line with engineering designs, construction drawings, and safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, resolving technical issues on site, conducting inspections, and liaising with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain schedule and quality. The role also involves supervising the use of heavy equipment, verifying compliance with local regulations, preparing site reports, and supporting continuous improvement in construction methods and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering, with experience applying engineering principles in on-site environments.
  • Ability to interpret and work with Construction Drawings and technical documentation to guide site activities.
  • Hands-on experience with Heavy Equipment operations, coordination, or supervision within construction projects.
  • Proficiency in conducting site Inspection, quality checks, and safety audits to ensure regulatory and project compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline; professional certification or registration is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, occupational safety standards, and construction best practices in Singapore.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with project documentation, reporting, and basic project management tools is beneficial.
