Project Manager
IT Solutions Provider

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage and deliver small to mid-size ICT projects across the business. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, within scope, and in accordance with the company’s PMO methodology.

The Project Manager will work closely with customers, sales, pre-sales, delivery teams, principals, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution from initiation through to final handover.

What You'll Be Doing

1) Manage the full project lifecycle for small to mid-size ICT projects, including:

• Project initiation and definition
• Project planning and scheduling
• Site assessment and preparation
• Solution design, development and configuration
• Build, testing and commissioning
• Operational documentation
• Project handover to operations

2) Develop and implement project plans based on:

• Project scope and objectives
• Customer requirements
• Project timelines and milestones
• Resource requirements
• Budget and cost considerations
• Company PMO methodology

3) Coordinate and manage project stakeholders including:

• Customers
• Internal project and technical teams
• Sales and pre-sales teams
• Principals and vendors
• Subcontractors
• Legal and commercial teams
• Operations and support teams

4) Monitor and control project execution to ensure:

• Projects remain within agreed scope
• Project milestones and timelines are achieved
• Deliverables meet customer expectations
• Project costs and budgets are controlled
• Risks, issues and dependencies are properly managed
• Project activities comply with established PMO processes

5) Manage project issues, risks and scope changes by:

• Identifying potential project risks and issues
• Tracking project contingencies and dependencies
• Managing scope changes and their impact
• Escalating critical issues to senior management
• Facilitating solutions when project challenges or deadlocks arise

6) Prepare and maintain project documentation and reporting, including:

• Project plans and schedules
• Project status reports
• Project dashboards
• Risk and issue registers
• Project documentation
• Operational and handover documentation
• Billing documentation following customer sign-off

7) Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and management on:

• Project progress
• Key milestones
• Project risks and issues
• Budget and cost status
• Scope changes
• Schedule deviations
• Overall project health
• Work closely with sales, pre-sales, technical, legal and delivery teams to ensure project scope and customer expectations are aligned throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure successful project handover to operations upon completion, including all required documentation, testing and commissioning records
• Support project deployment activities outside normal business hours when required by customer or project requirements

8) Strong understanding of:

10) Strong ability to:

• Manage multiple projects concurrently
• Coordinate cross-functional teams
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
• Negotiate and influence project decisions
• Resolve project issues and conflicts
• Work under tight deadlines
• Monitor project budgets and timelines
• Prepare professional project documentation and reports

Good command of both spoken and written English

Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Able to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects

What We're Looking For

1) Diploma / Degree in:

• Information Technology
• Computer Science
• Engineering or equivalent

2) Minimum 3 years of experience in:

• Project Management
• ICT / IT infrastructure projects
• Technology project delivery
• Technical project coordination

3) Hands-on experience in:

• Managing the full project lifecycle
• Developing project plans and schedules
• Coordinating internal and external stakeholders
• Managing project scope, timeline and budget
• Project implementation, testing and commissioning
• Project documentation and handover
• Experience working with customers, vendors, principals, subcontractors and internal technical teams is highly preferred
• Certifications:
• PMP required
• PRINCE2 required
• Other relevant project management certifications will be an advantage

4) Strong project management capabilities in:

• Experience in ICT infrastructure, networking, systems integration or technology-related projects will be an added advantage

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
