We are seeking a Launching and Post-Tensioning (PT) / Precast Engineer with at least 5 years of specialized experience to oversee on-site launching, precast element handling, and post-tensioning operations. The ideal candidate will manage sub-contractors, ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality, and safety standards, and lead technical issue resolution for viaduct, station, and superstructure construction projects.
1. Operational & Schedule Management- Review sub-contractor launching/production and manufacturer production schedules in alignment with the master construction program.
- Organize and monitor launching and PT teams to achieve required site production targets and pace of viaduct construction.
- Control receipt, handling, delivery, storage, and safe installation of precast elements on site.
2. Quality Control, Inspections & Technical Execution- Ensure launching, PT, and precast element works comply with required specifications, survey alignments/levels, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Attend all work trade inspections to ensure compliance with method statements, span handbooks, shop drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
- Monitor and review all relevant test results—including stressing results—for full compliance with contract and specification requirements.
- Resolve technical site issues using core engineering concepts, practices, and techniques.
3. Document & Submittal Control- Monitor submission and approval of method statements, shop drawings, kinematic drawings/schematics, span handbooks, as-built drawings, and contract deliverables.
- Maintain accurate, well-organized site documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), site diaries, minutes of meetings, progress reports, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) forms.
4. Stakeholder Coordination & Safety Compliance- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Comply with and enforce all Quality, Safety & Health, and Environmental (QSHE) standards and regulations required by the company.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management as needed.
Education & Experience- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Launching and Post-Tensioning / Precast Engineer.
- Background: Prior general civil construction experience is preferred.
Skills & Competencies- Technical Mastery: Strong understanding of all aspects of viaduct, station, and superstructure work.
- Site Management: Proven ability to manage and lead multiple teams on site.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and spoken English).
