Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support the successful delivery of technology solutions by bridging business requirements with technical capabilities. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional technology teams to understand requirements, manage project delivery, and ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience in IT project management or software development environments, with a good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools such as Jira. Experience within the insurance industry is highly preferred. Mandarin proficiency is required as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

• Define project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor project progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate with technical and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Team & Project Coordination

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Facilitate collaboration between business users, developers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor team progress and ensure responsibilities and deliverables are clearly defined.
• Encourage accountability, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving within project teams.

Requirements & Change Management

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and deliverables through appropriate change management processes.
• Identify project dependencies, issues, and potential risks, and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Ensure requirements remain aligned with business objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business users, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Act as a key point of contact between business and technical teams.
• Provide regular project updates, status reports, and progress presentations to stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Quality & Issue Management

• Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality standards, business requirements, and client expectations.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues in a timely manner.
• Support testing, user acceptance, and implementation activities where required.
• Ensure successful project handover and post-implementation support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, IT Project Management, or software development environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, or MS Project.
• Strong business analysis, project coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Experience in the insurance industry or insurance-related technology projects is highly preferred.
• Mandarin proficiency is required to manage and communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, Agile certification, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
