Salary: RM 8,000–10,000 per month
Job Summary
We are looking for a Virtualization Engineer / Subject Matter Expert to administer enterprise virtualization environments and ensure infrastructure availability, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain virtualized server environments.
- Configure virtual machines, clusters, resource pools, and high-availability features.
- Monitor resource utilization, capacity, and platform performance.
- Troubleshoot virtualization, networking, and storage-related incidents.
- Perform upgrades, patching, migrations, and configuration changes.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.
- Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and infrastructure reports.
- Provide technical guidance to operations teams and junior engineers.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of virtual networking, shared storage, clustering, and high availability.
- Experience with Windows/Linux server administration.
- Understanding of backup, replication, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Strong incident management and root-cause analysis skills.
- Relevant virtualization certifications are an advantage.
