Job Description

Responsibilities

A. The Role

We're looking for a Project Manager to own internal project delivery end-to-end: turning roadmap commitments, PoC obligations, and partner agreements into scoped, sequenced, tracked work — and making sure the engineering team, the Founder/C Suite, and external stakeholders are never surprised by status.

This is not a role for so––meone who wants to run a generic PM template. Our projects mix cryptographic engineering, Elixir/BEAM platform work, hardware integration (e.g. Phison SSDs with aiDAPTIV+, HSM programmable module/Functional Module), and legally-binding partner deliverables, all with a small team where individual dependencies are often single points of failure. You'll need to get genuinely fluent in what the team is building, not just track tickets.

B. Key Responsibilities

Delivery Planning & Execution

  • Translate roadmap items, partner PoC scopes, and board/investor commitments into project plans with clear milestones, owners, and dependencies
  • Manage multi-track delivery schedules (e.g. hardware/software parallel tracks) where partner-owned gates sit outside Antrapol's direct control
  • Run the day-to-day cadence: stand-ups, sprint/iteration planning, retros, and status reporting, adapted to a ~5-engineer team rather than a large-org process

Cross-Functional & Partner Coordination

  • Act as the delivery interface between engineering and external parties (e.g. MCMC, TM Technology Services) for jointly-owned PoCs, tracking their gate dependencies against Antrapol's internal schedule
  • Flag and escalate schedule risk early — especially where partner-owned deliverables (hardware, integration environments, approvals) threaten Antrapol's committed dates
  • Support contract/SOW-adjacent scoping conversations (timelines, deliverable definitions, SLAs) alongside the Founder/C Suite

Risk & Dependency Management

  • Maintain visibility over technical risk items that affect delivery timelines (e.g. architecture decisions still in flight, infrastructure risks like partition-handling in distributed data stores) by working closely with engineering — not to make the technical call, but to know when it will land and what it blocks
  • Maintain a live risk/issue register and drive mitigation actions to closure, not just documentation

Reporting & Visibility

  • Produce clear, concise status reporting for internal leadership and, where relevant, external partners and board materials
  • Maintain a single source of truth for what's shipping, what's slipping, and why — in a form the Founder/C Suite can use directly in partner or board conversations

Process Ownership

  • Introduce lightweight, appropriate project management practice for a small deep-tech team — resist over-engineering process for its own sake
  • Own the tooling (project tracker, documentation structure) and keep it genuinely up to date rather than aspirational

C. What We're Looking For

Required

  • 4+ years of project management experience delivering technical/software products, ideally in cybersecurity, fintech, infrastructure, or deep-tech environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-workstream delivery with external dependencies (partners, vendors, regulators) — not just internal sprint tracking
  • Comfortable reading enough technical context (architecture docs, engineering discussions) to ask the right questions and spot risk, without needing to be an engineer
  • Strong written communication; able to produce status reporting that a founder can hand directly to a partner or board
  • Experience with standard PM tooling (e.g. Jira, Linear, Notion, or equivalent) and willingness to keep it lean for a small team

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience delivering under formal multi-party agreements (PoCs, MoUs, government/GLC collaboration) including familiarity with concepts like SLAs, survival clauses, and gate-based approvals
  • Background in a startup or small deep-tech team where you were the only dedicated PM
  • Exposure to cryptography, PKI, identity, or blockchain projects (not required to have built them — just to have coordinated their delivery)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Malaysian government/GLC delivery norms and stakeholder expectations
  • Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum equivalent) — useful but secondary to demonstrated delivery track record

D. What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

  • A single, trusted delivery view (roadmap + PoC obligations + risk register) that the Founder/C Suite relies on for external conversations
  • No partner-facing deadline missed without advance visibility and a mitigation plan already in motion
  • A lightweight, adopted cadence (planning, stand-ups, reporting) that the engineering team actually follows without needing to be chased
  • At least one multi-party PoC or major internal milestone delivered on the schedule you owned

E. Why Join Antrapol

  • High-trust, high-autonomy role at a company where delivery decisions directly affect government and GLC-facing commitments
  • Direct working relationship with the Founder/C Suite — no layers between you and the decisions that matter
  • Front-row seat to Malaysia's national PQC migration and a genuinely differentiated cryptographic IP portfolio (KAZ algorithm family)

  • To apply, please send your CV and a brief note on a technical delivery project you managed with external dependencies to *************
