We are delighted to be recruiting once again for long-standing clients of Nannies of St James, who are seeking an exceptional Rota Nanny to join their established household and care for their two children, aged 6 & 3 years.

This is a particularly lovely position to be able to offer. Our current nanny has been extremely happy working with the family and is leaving on very good terms, so the incoming nanny will be joining a well-established household where the role, routines and expectations are already clearly defined.

The family divides its time principally between Central Europe and the UK, with additional international travel. Their homes are fully staffed and professionally run, but the atmosphere surrounding the children is warm and family-focused.

THE ROLE

Working on a two weeks on/two weeks off rota (to be confirmed), the nanny will take responsibility for the children during her working rotation, providing continuity, structure and excellent age-appropriate care across the family's different residences and when travelling.

Both children attend Kindergarten – one full-time and the younger child part-time – so the nanny should be confident supporting their education and development outside school while also making their downtime fun, active and engaging.

The family is looking for a nanny who genuinely enjoys this age group: someone energetic enough to get involved, creative in planning activities and adventures, but equally capable of providing calm routines, good manners and sensible boundaries.

Responsibilities will include all usual nursery duties, children's organisation and wardrobes, preparing healthy meals when required, liaising with parents and other household staff, arranging activities and outings, and ensuring everything relating to the children runs smoothly.

THE PERSON

This is a senior nanny appointment and candidates should have a minimum of 10 years' professional childcare experience, ideally including previous rota and/or HNW private household experience.

The successful candidate will be:

Warm, engaging and genuinely child-focused

Highly experienced, organised and completely dependable

Confident taking sole charge of two children

Knowledgeable about Early Years and primary-age development

Creative and proactive in planning activities and supporting learning

Calm, sensible and consistent with routines and boundaries

A natural team player who communicates well with parents, fellow nannies and household staff

Discreet and comfortable working within fully staffed private homes

Flexible and experienced with international travel

Able to provide excellent, fully checkable references

Fluent English is essential, as is an EU passport due to the family's locations and travel requirements.

Schedule: Approximately 2 weeks on/off

Salary: Excellent/top-level package, dependent upon experience

Accommodation: Excellent separate/private accommodation provided, including a newly refurbished nanny apartment
