About this role:

This role manages Mutu Case's products from concept to final production, covering product development, sourcing, packaging, quality assurance, and supplier coordination. You will work closely with the founder and internal teams to develop products that are visually strong, functional, commercially relevant, and aligned with Mutu Case's brand identity.

We are looking for someone creative, hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly organised. The right person can turn ideas and market trends into actual products, manage suppliers and samples, and take ownership of product issues from start to finish.

In this role, your responsibilities are:

• Trend & Product Research: Research phone case trends, colours, customer preferences, competitor products, materials, and market direction to support new product and collection development.
• Product & Creative Development: Develop phone case concepts, colours, prints, graphics, materials, finishes, MagSafe elements, camera protection, and other functional or visual details.
• Sourcing & Supplier Management: Source and manage suppliers for phone cases, packaging, accessories, and materials. Coordinate orders, production timelines, pricing, lead times, and quality expectations.
• Quality Assurance & Sample Review: Review samples and incoming stock for colours, prints, materials, finishing, fit, functionality, and overall quality. Investigate product issues and work with suppliers on improvements and corrective actions.
• Packaging & Branding: Develop and source packaging, product labels, collection graphics, and supporting visual assets while ensuring consistency with Mutu Case's brand identity.
• Production & Order Coordination: Follow up on product development, samples, production, packaging, and delivery timelines to ensure products meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the founder, creative team, operations, and warehouse teams on product development, stock requirements, product issues, and upcoming launches.

This position requires:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in product development, product design, sourcing, quality assurance, graphic design, or a related field.
• Experience in e-commerce, consumer goods, lifestyle products, fashion accessories, or the phone case industry is an advantage.
• Strong sense of colour, design, trends, graphics, and product presentation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple products, suppliers, and projects simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of product development, sourcing, manufacturing, or supply chain processes.
• Able to write and speak Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English, as this role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, clients, and partners.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design software is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Product Design, Graphic Design, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per hour
