Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NGS Laboratory Technologist to support daily lab operations and molecular diagnostic testing, gaining practical experience in NGS, molecular diagnostics, and precision oncology within a quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Perform routine laboratory procedures including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, NGS library preparation, and sequencing to support molecular diagnostic workflows
Receive, process, and prepare clinical specimens such as tissue, blood, and plasma samples for testing
Operate and maintain NGS sequencers and automated liquid-handling systems to ensure reliable sequencing runs
Conduct quality control checks on samples and sequencing data, documenting results accurately and timely
Troubleshoot technical and equipment issues to minimize workflow disruptions
Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and consumables following established procedures to ensure operational readiness
Follow laboratory safety, biosafety, quality control, and contamination-prevention protocols to maintain a safe and compliant environment
Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards
Support laboratory projects, validation activities, and process improvements as assigned
Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently on routine laboratory tasks
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and NGS library preparation
Experience with clinical sample processing and molecular diagnostics workflows
Familiarity with NGS platforms such as MGI or Illumina sequencing systems
Knowledge of laboratory quality control, SOPs, biosafety, and equipment operation
Ability to communicate effectively in English; understanding Mandarin is an advantage
