Job Description: Carpentry & Technology teacher
Pedagogical Responsibilities
- Contributing to the implementation of the localized Finnish curriculum framework and supporting the development of the foundation for future IGCSE Design and Technology examinations. Experience in teaching Design & Technology (IGCSE) is an advantage but not required.
- Actively contributing to curriculum development and pedagogical discussions.
- Experience with traditional woodworking techniques, woodworking machinery, CAD software, 3D printing, and laser cutting is considered an advantage. An understanding of textile crafts is also beneficial. Training and support will be provided to develop the skills needed for the role.
- Engaging in and developing effective team teaching practices and shared responsibility for student learning.
- Sharing pedagogical expertise and collaborating with colleagues through co-planning, co-teaching, and co-assessment, supported by ongoing reflection and professional dialogue.
Teaching, Learning and Student Assessment
- Teaching a maximum of 24 periods per week, which includes assigned lessons and may include lesson swaps. Outside of teaching periods, working hours include, but are not limited to, professional development, meetings, student supervision, and other assigned duties.
- Planning and implementing learning experiences and team teaching in alignment with the localized Finnish curriculum and building the foundation for IGCSE Design and Technology.
- Planning and implementing continuous student assessment through versatile assessment methods and monitoring student progress.
- Supporting the ordering and organisation of materials and equipment related to carpentry teaching, as well as the maintenance and development of the carpentry classroom and materials.
- Building and maintaining effective communication and collaboration with parents / guardians, colleagues, and relevant stakeholders.
- Participating in student supervision and co-curricular activities as required.
- Supporting and developing CCA Makerspace activities, or other relevant co-curricular activities

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
