Join Mercedes-Benz’s Global Cyber Security team and help protect one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Cybersecurity CNAPP Architect (Automation Expert) to join our global cyber security organization in Singapore. In this role, you will take a leading role in the architecture, operation and continuous evolution of our Wiz Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), while driving automation across our broader security technology landscape.

You will work closely with our Cyber Intelligence and Response Centre (CIRC) and security teams across APAC, EMEA and NAFTA, giving you the opportunity to contribute to global security initiatives in a highly international environment. This is a 2-year renewable contract position offered through an agency, with the successful candidate fully integrated into Mercedes-Benz’s security operations and working closely with our global teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own and Shape the Global CNAPP Architecture

• Take technical responsibility for the Wiz platform, including its architecture, operation and integration within Mercedes-Benz’s global security landscape.
• Define the target architecture and technical roadmap for Wiz across our cloud environments.
• Help strengthen the organization’s ability to proactively identify and respond to evolving security threats.

2. Drive Platform Integration and Global Onboarding

• Define standards, technical patterns and best practices for onboarding cloud accounts, security services and related platforms.
• Support the integration of Wiz into the broader security ecosystem, including technologies such as EDR, SIEM and SOAR.
• Ensure the platform provides a reliable, scalable and efficient foundation for our global Security Operations teams.

3. Lead Technical Governance and Stakeholder Alignment

• Act as the central architectural authority for the Wiz platform.
• Collaborate closely with Security Operations, Cloud Teams, Enterprise Architecture, platform owners and regional stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment and consistency across global and regional security requirements.

4. Accelerate Security Through Automation

• Design and coordinate automation solutions that reduce manual activities and improve efficiency across security platforms.
• Develop and enhance automation processes within Wiz and other operational security platforms.
• Leverage scripting, APIs, orchestration and automation tools such as Ansible, Python and PowerShell to streamline operational workflows.

5. Drive Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability, standardization and operational efficiency.
• Support appropriate infrastructure structures and implementation across assets, resources, licenses and processes.
• Work closely with the Lead Architect and Platform Owner to continuously evolve the platform and automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or another relevant technology discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant experience in a Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, Security Architect, or similar role.
• Previous experience in a security operational or analytical environment is highly advantageous, including experience gained within a corporate, military or law enforcement environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNAPP and cloud security architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Wiz, particularly from an architectural perspective, is highly desirable.
• Experience with Wiz or comparable CNAPP / Cloud Security platforms will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Alibaba Cloud.
• Good understanding of networking, network security technologies and major operating systems.
• Experience working with security technologies such as EDR, SIEM and SOAR would be advantageous.
• Proven experience in IT automation, scripting and process automation.
• Strong working knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or comparable automation languages.
• Experience with APIs, workflow orchestration and system integrations.
• Experience with automation technologies such as Ansible is an advantage.
• Relevant professional security certifications are advantageous, including CISSP, SANS GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), SANS GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), SANS GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), other comparable cyber security certifications.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to remain calm, structured and solution-oriented under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to deliver against operational deadlines.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a global team.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
