Senior System & Network Engineer (ITInfrastructure)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System & Network Engineer tomanage and support the IT infrastructure and network operations of ourmanufacturing plant in Singapore. This is a hands-on technical role responsiblefor maintaining the availability, stability, security, and performance of theplant's IT infrastructure. The role covers network infrastructure, Windowsservers, virtualization, storage, backup, Microsoft 365, and end-user ITsupport.

The successful candidate will work closely with RegionalIT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to implement infrastructureprojects, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain reliable IT services, andsupport the continuous improvement of the plant's IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

·      Manage and maintain the plant'sLAN, WAN, WLAN, switching, routing, Palo Alto firewall, VPN, and networkinfrastructure.

·      Troubleshoot networkconnectivity and performance issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA) toensure timely resolution.

·      Administer and support WindowsServer environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

·      Manage and maintain Proxmoxvirtualization platforms, virtual machines, and HPE MSA storage infrastructure.

·      Administer Zabbix to monitorinfrastructure health, system performance, capacity, and availability to ensurereliable IT services.

·      Plan and perform systemupgrades, patching, configuration changes, and routine infrastructuremaintenance together with the Regional IT Infrastructure Team.

·      Manage and monitor backupsolutions, including backup verification and restoration activities, andsupport disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.

·      Administer Microsoft 365 useraccounts, licenses, access, and related services.

·      Support IT infrastructuresecurity through appropriate access control, network segmentation, firewallpolicies, system updates, and secure configuration practices.

·      Provide technical support fordesktops, laptops, printers, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common businessapplications when required.

·      Maintain accurate networkdiagrams, system documentation, configurations, asset information, andoperating procedures.

·      Coordinate with Regional ITteams, vendors, and contractors for infrastructure deployment, maintenance,troubleshooting, and project implementation.

·      Provide technical support fornew infrastructure deployments and contribute to the continuous improvement andoptimization of the plant IT environment.

Requirements

·      Diploma or degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

·      Minimum 10 years of relevantexperience in system administration, network engineering, or IT infrastructuresupport.

·      Strong hands-on experience withnetwork switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, wireless networks, VPN, and firewalltechnologies.

·      Hands-on experienceadministering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

·      Practical experience withProxmox or other enterprise virtualization platforms.

·      Experience with server,storage, and backup infrastructure, including backup and recovery operations.

·      Working knowledge of Microsoft365 administration and user support.

·      Strong troubleshooting skillswith the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complexinfrastructure issues.

·      Experience working with ITvendors, contractors, and regional/global IT teams.

·      Able to work independently withminimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross-functionalteams.

·      Good communication,documentation, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

·      Relevant certifications such asCisco, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, or virtualization-related certifications are anadvantage.
