Lab Assistant

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team.  Requirements:

• Ability to speak and write in Mandarin and English fluently.

• Minimum education: SPM certification required; Diploma in Science is highly preferred.

• Ideally, possess experience as a Junior Executive specializing in Chemistry or a related field.

• Must be a Malaysian citizen or hold relevant residence status.

• Ability to work full-time.

• Willingness to work at Taman Perindustrian KIP Kepong initially and relocate to our new office at Rawang by Q*************.

• Skills Required: Laboratory Techniques, Attention to Detail, Organizational Skills, Communication Skills and Data Analysis.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Inspections and Tests: Work closely with chemists to conduct thorough inspections and tests, ensuring adherence to established protocols and quality standards. Your contributions will directly impact the accuracy and reliability of our results.

• Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Take ownership of maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area, apparatus, and equipment. This includes regular cleaning, proper storage, and adherence to laboratory hygiene standards, creating a safe and efficient working environment.

• Prepare Samples: Prepare samples meticulously, following established procedures to ensure accurate and consistent results. Your attention to detail will be critical in the success of our experiments.

• Record and Update Results: Accurately record and update test results under the guidance of the chemist, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. You will contribute to the creation of comprehensive reports and documentation.

• Evaluate and Improve Safety Procedures: Continuously evaluate laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe and secure working environment for all team members.

• Maintain and Troubleshoot Instruments: Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed. Your technical skills will be essential in keeping our equipment running smoothly.

• Contribute to Technical Documentation: Assist in writing technical papers and reports, and help prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, or tests.
