Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive (Mandarin Speaker) position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, following up on leads, and building long-term relationships with clients in both Mandarin and English. The Sales Executive will prepare proposals and quotations, conduct sales presentations, negotiate terms, and close deals for event services. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate sales records, coordinating with event and operations teams to ensure client requirements are met, and providing post-event follow-up to encourage repeat business. The role also includes attending industry events or client meetings, monitoring market trends, and supporting the development of sales strategies to meet revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasive communication abilities, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, with clear business communication skills in speaking and writing.
  • Customer relationship management skills, including rapport-building, active listening, and solutions-focused problem-solving.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple leads, proposals, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency with office and sales tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentation software) and comfort with digital communication platforms.
  • Knowledge or interest in event management and hospitality, with the ability to understand event requirements and translate them into suitable service offerings.
  • Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing client needs or event situations.
  • Relevant experience in sales, business development, or account management; a diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is an advantage.
