Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead and manage functional and technical testing activities for IT projects within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test management, the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test planning, execution, and quality assurance, with a proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects.

The candidate should possess excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, along with a strong understanding of banking systems and industry-specific testing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end testing activities across functional and technical testing for IT projects.
• Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, test schedules, and test execution approaches aligned with project objectives.
• Oversee the complete software testing lifecycle, including test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, and test closure.
• Manage and coordinate testing teams, ensuring timely delivery of testing milestones and quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, business analysts, and other teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Monitor and report testing progress, defect status, risks, issues, and quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate testing risks and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with established testing standards, methodologies, governance frameworks, and quality assurance practices.
• Manage defect triage meetings and coordinate with technical teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and other relevant testing activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, methodologies, and team performance.
• Ensure successful testing outcomes and contribute to the overall quality and timely delivery of IT projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years in Test Management.
• Strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading, managing, and delivering IT projects involving both functional and technical testing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Banking / Financial Institution domain.
• Hands-on experience in test strategy development, test planning, test execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and testing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver testing milestones within defined timelines.
• JIRA and confluence is required.
• ISTQB-CATL certification at any level, such as Certified Tester, is required/preferred as per project requirements.
