About the role

This role involves monitoring and maintaining critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical and building facility systems. You will conduct routine inspections, monitor Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and other facility monitoring platforms, and ensure equipment operates within approved operating parameters.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical and building facility systems
• Conduct routine inspections and record operating parameters, equipment status, alarms and abnormalities
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and other facility monitoring platforms
• Monitor critical equipment such as UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, PDUs, cooling systems and associated infrastructure
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturers' recommendations
• Assist with troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical and facility equipment
• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units, ventilation systems and related equipment
• Respond promptly to equipment alarms, system abnormalities and facility incidents
• Follow approved emergency response procedures and escalation protocols
• Comply with occupational safety and health requirements, site safety rules, SOPs and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures

About you

• Comply with occupational safety and health requirements, site safety rules, SOPs and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements and obtain the necessary authorisation before performing maintenance activities
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and approved tools
• Maintain accurate equipment inspection records, maintenance reports, checklists and shift handover logs
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, vendors and contractors during maintenance and repair activities

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant working experience in data center operations and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role requires liaison with clients from China.
• Candidates who are available to commence work immediately will have an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
