We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, support and maintenance of software and applications to support the organisation’s business objectives, IT projects and initiatives.

• Design, develop, test and deploy software and applications to meet business objectives and support the organisation’s IT projects and initiatives.
• Provide Level 2 support and maintenance for software and applications in accordance with agreed service levels to ensure smooth Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations.
• Upgrade software and applications to meet user and compliance requirements.
• Conduct research, solution design and planning for software and applications to fulfil business requirements and organisational objectives.

• Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of working experience in Software Engineering or a related field, with at least one (1) year of experience in IT-related projects.
• Experience in full-stack development or data engineering is preferred.
• Strong passion for programming and problem-solving, with strong analytical and reasoning skills.
• Proficient in at least one (1) programming language, such as C#, Java, JavaScript or equivalent.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL or equivalent.
• Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development tools, including IDEs, text editors, SQL management tools and source code control.
• Familiar with web development technologies, standards and protocols.
