Job Description

Responsibilities

Role purpose

We are looking for a social and content marketer who understands that social is as much about

listening and engaging as it is about publishing.

You will help shape FairPrice Group’s social presence by understanding what customers and

communities are talking about, identifying where FairPrice Group has a relevant role to

participate, and turning these insights into content and campaign opportunities.

The role spans social content, community engagement and social listening across both

FairPrice Group’s’s owned channels and wider online conversations. You will work closely with

marketers and agency partners to bring campaigns to life, build stronger connections with

customers and bring the voice of social communities back into our marketing.

This is not a role focused only on publishing content or managing a content calendar. We are

looking for someone who is curious about people and culture, exercises good judgement, spots

opportunities and understands how social insights should influence what a brand says and

does.

Key responsibilities

1. Community Engagement

  • Build FairPrice Group’s presence across our owned social channels and relevant conversations happening beyond them.
  • Actively identify communities, conversations and cultural moments where FairPrice Group has a credible reason to participate.
  • Engage with customers and communities in ways that are relevant to the conversation rather than solely promotional.
  • Identify opportunities to build ongoing participation, conversation and affinity around FairPrice Group.
  • Apply sound judgement on when the brand should participate, how it should respond and when it should stay out.
  • Work with agency and creator partners to identify opportunities for proactive community engagement.
  • Identify recurring customer questions, interests, behaviours and tensions and bring these back into marketing.
  • Work with Customer Service and relevant teams where customer issues require follow-up or escalation.
  • Help strengthen community engagement principles, response guidelines and escalation processes.

2. Social Listening & Customer Insights

  • Monitor conversations around FairPrice Group, our campaigns, competitors and topics relevant to our customers.
  • Look beyond FairPrice Group’s owned channels to understand wider customer conversations, behaviours and sentiment.
  • Identify emerging topics, changes in customer attitudes, opportunities and potential issues early.
  • Understand what is driving customer reactions and conversations, rather than relying solely on sentiment scores or engagement metrics.
  • Distinguish between isolated comments and conversations that signal a broader customer or brand issue.
  • Turn social conversations into clear insights and recommendations for content, campaigns and marketing decisions.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc social listening updates with a clear point of view on what matters, why it matters and what FairPrice Group should consider doing.
  • Work with marketers to apply relevant insights to upcoming campaigns and content.
  • Support monitoring during major campaigns and emerging issues, escalating significant developments where required.

3. Insights to Content & Campaigns

  • Turn social listening, community conversations and customer behaviour into relevant content and campaign opportunities.
  • Identify themes, customer tensions and cultural conversations that FairPrice
  • Group should respond to through marketing.
  • Work with marketers to translate relevant insights into content ideas, campaign inputs and engagement approaches.
  • Bring proactive content opportunities to the team rather than relying only on incoming campaign briefs.
  • Recommend how FairPrice Group should respond to emerging conversations through content, community engagement or other marketing activity.
  • Feed social and community insights into campaign planning and post-campaign learnng.

4. Social & Content

  • Manage FairPrice Group’s social content calendar across campaigns, always-on activity and business priorities.
  • Plan and coordinate content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
  • Work with marketers and agencies to translate marketing objectives into relevant social content.
  • Recommend formats, platforms and content approaches based on audience behaviour and campaign objectives.
  • Ensure content is designed for social rather than simply adapting campaign assets for social channels.
  • Identify relevant platform and content trends while assessing whether they are appropriate for FairPrice.
  • Support publishing and day-to-day management of FairPrice Group’s social channels.
  • Maintain consistency across FairPrice Group’s social presence while allowing content to work naturally within different platforms.

5. Campaign & Content Development

  • Work with marketers to develop the social approach for key campaigns and customer moments.
  • Recommend the role social should play within a campaign, including content, platforms, community engagement and creator opportunities.
  • Manage assigned social content from brief through production and delivery.
  • Work with creator and influencer partners where relevant.
  • Ensure content reflects FairPrice Group’s brand while remaining relevant to the audience and platform.
  • Review customer and community response during campaigns and recommend adjustments where appropriate.

6. Performance & Learning

  • Track social channels, content, community and campaign performance.
  • Analyse what customers watched, engaged with, talked about and responded to, and understand why.
  • Bring together performance data, community conversations and social listening to build a fuller picture of customer response.
  • Identify patterns and learnings rather than reporting metrics in isolation.
  • Turn findings into practical recommendations for future content and campaigns.
  • Share relevant customer and social insights with marketers and agency partners.

7. Agency & Partner Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with social, content, creator, community management and social listening partners.
  • Develop clear briefs and manage timelines, feedback and deliverables.
  • Review and challenge agency recommendations to ensure they are grounded in customer behaviour and social insights.
  • Ensure community management and listening partners provide meaningful analysis and recommendations rather than activity reports.
  • Hold partners accountable for quality, responsiveness and delivery.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 to 8 years of experience across social media, community, content, digital marketing or integrated marketing.
  • Hands-on experience in community engagement and/or social listening. Experience beyond owned-channel community management is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, including how customer behaviour and content differ across platforms.
  • Naturally curious about people, culture, online communities and what drives conversation.
  • Able to spot patterns in customer conversations and turn them into useful marketing insights.
  • Strong social and editorial judgement, including knowing when a brand should participate in a conversation and when it should stay out.
  • Able to turn insights into clear content or campaign recommendations rather than only reporting what happened.
  • Comfortable interpreting social listening, community and performance data.
  • Able to balance planned campaign activity with emerging social and cultural opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with social, creative, creator or content agencies.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s social and cultural context.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG or another high-frequency consumer business is an advantage.
