Requirements
Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
1–2 years of working experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting preferred.
Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia and compliant with the Code of Conduct for Pharmacists and Body Corporate.
Strong knowledge of and compliance with all relevant pharmacy legislation in Malaysia.
Must hold a valid Type A Poison License for practice.
Required skills: leadership, team management, and ability to provide professional guidance in a retail healthcare environment.
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in additional languages is an added advantage.
Wiling to work in Kota Damansara, Selangor.
Responsibilities
Patient Care & Customer Service
Dispense and provide guidance on controlled medications (Poison B and C categories).
Advise customers on health-related products, including OTC medicines, supplements, and general nutrition items.
Perform basic health screenings such as blood glucose, blood pressure, and BMI measurements, and actively support company-organized health events.
Conduct training sessions for store staff to enhance knowledge of health products and services.
Deliver consistently high standards of customer service and patient care.
Monitor product expiration dates across health and non health categories to minimize risk of expired sales, write-offs, or returns.
Participate in health awareness initiatives, including community outreach programs, health talks, and pharmacy student attachments as required.
Serve as a community healthcare professional by promoting preventive care and wellness initiatives, while providing recommendations on non-medicinal and health-related products to support overall well-being.
Operations & Store Management
Manage stock ordering for poisons, prescription medications, and health-related products to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stocks shortages.
Maintain planograms, product displays, and store cleanliness across health-related and non-health categories.
Ensure proper recording and filing of prescriptions in compliance with the Poisons Act 1952.
Support daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, administrative tasks and collaborating with team members as needed.
Execute store promotions effectively by ensuring accurate pricing, proper product displays, availability of POS materials, and sufficient stock levels.
Train and equip the team with strong product knowledge across health and non-health categories to enhance customer experience and support upselling opportunities.
To provide support across company and other stores when required, including training, ad hoc events and operational coverage.
Participate in stock audits and ensure accurate inventory counts, whether conducted internally or by external auditors.
