Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field

  • Minimum 2 years as a draughtsman in metal fabrication, door manufacturing or construction components. (fire-rated door experience preferred)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and/or SolidWorks / Inventor / Revit (3D)

  • Knowledge of GD&T, welding symbols, and sheet metal fabrication

  • Ability to create BOMs, cut lists, and assembly drawings

  • Understanding of fire-rated door construction, fire safety standards, and hardware requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects under deadlines

  • Can work in Batang Kali office

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare detailed production drawings based on approved designs, shop drawings, or customer requirements

  2. Generate and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings suitable for CNC cutting and machining

  3. Ensure all drawings include accurate dimensions, tolerances, hole positions, and cutting paths

  4. Revise drawings according to production feedback or design changes

  5. Work closely with CNC machine operators to ensure drawings are compatible with CNC machine requirements

  6. Prepare drawing files in required formats (e.g. DWG, DXF) for CNC programming

  7. Assist in resolving technical issues arising during CNC production

  8. Ensure drawings comply with construction standards, test reports, and certification requirements

  9. Manage drawing revisions and version control to ensure production uses the latest approved drawings

  10. Maintain proper documentation of drawing changes and technical records

  11. Organize and archive production and engineering drawings

  12. Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Sales, and Project teams to clarify technical requirements

  13. Provide technical support for project and production-related inquiries
