Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Developer, with strong coding skills across the full development lifecycle

• Hands-on experience building software from scratch, ideally including payroll, HRIS, or related systems

• Comfortable using AI tools to build and ship software, not just as a coding assistant but as a core part of the development workflow

• Strong project management skills — able to independently plan, coordinate, and execute a project without a dedicated team

• Strong IT background, including system integration and technical troubleshooting

• Good analytical skills and a proactive, self-driven problem-solving mindset

• Experience coordinating with vendors or cross-functional stakeholders

Overview

We are looking for a Project Lead, Software Development to spearhead the design and build of a new payroll software system, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and drive automation. This role is for someone who can work independently, lead the project end-to-end, and coordinate across departments and external vendors — while also maintaining and improving our existing internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll System Build

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and rollout of a new payroll software system, built from scratch

• Use AI tools to build the payroll system — from code generation to testing and deployment — rather than developing entirely by hand

• Use AI tools and frameworks (e.g., AI-assisted coding, workflow automation) to accelerate development and improve efficiency

• Define system architecture, data models, and integration points with existing HR/finance systems

• Own the project timeline, milestones, and deliverables, and communicate progress to stakeholders

Systems & Maintenance

• Develop, enhance, and maintain internal software tools and systems

• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes

• Ensure system security, data accuracy, and compliance with internal policies

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work solo on core development, while coordinating closely with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth data flow and integration

• Explore and prototype AI-based solutions to support broader business needs
