Job Scope:

• Ensure all construction and installation activities are completed before commencing system commissioning.

• Plan and allocate manpower to meet the commissioning schedule.

• Develop and ensure the availability of commissioning procedures and guidelines for equipment start-up and testing.

• Coordinate and manage commissioning activities between the company and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

• Identify and report operational issues involving machinery and equipment, and assist in troubleshooting and rectification.

• Ensure OEMs fulfil their contractual obligations and deliverables.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with safety standards.

• Supervise onsite commissioning activities and coordinate work with other trades.

• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including site observations, test records, and checklists.

• Monitor and review commissioning progress through HAT meetings and other progress reviews.

• Attend progress meetings with customers to provide updates, resolve outstanding issues, and ensure timely closure.

• Ensure all safety procedures, risk control measures, and precautionary requirements are implemented throughout commissioning activities.

• Compile, update, and maintain commissioning reports and records.

• Identify and assist in resolving commissioning issues, equipment malfunctions, and operational defects.

• Assess the requirements for specialised tools and equipment, and initiate procurement when necessary.

• Review the suitability and condition of tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Develop and update Risk Assessments (RA), enforce onsite safety measures, and conduct weekly safety briefings for supervisors and workers
  

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Offshore Engineering or related disciplines.

• Naval Institute training/ certification will be an advantage.

• Candidates with shipboard experience or 3 years' relevant experience in a similar capacity are preferred.
