Job Summary

- Oversee, coordinate & perform activities include calibration, MSA and testing of product/ semi-finished product/ component/ child part.

- Maintain and ensure compliance of the Management System of Laboratory

Key Responsibilities

· Liaise with the QM Executive/ Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory.

· Plan, execute and monitor testing according to documented procedures and relevant standards (Customer Spec, JIS, ASTM and etc.) and update test results in assigned test reports.

· Perform laboratory related duties including register incoming samples; perform sample testing activities for development, monthly and annually, compilation of test report, record keeping, and properly maintaining laboratory testing requests.

. Report of any nonconforming work to superiors and take appropriate corresponding action.

· Responsible for test sample retention and record keeping

· Perform preventive maintenance/verification activities of all equipment according to planned schedule to ensure proper functioning and prevent contamination or deterioration.

· Ensure the lab equipment and limit sample are calibrated and in the well-kept condition.

· Plan, execute and monitor calibration (internal and external) of measuring equipment used in the manufacturing processes. Measurement System Analysis (MSA) is performed as planned and when required.

. Be responsible for the upkeep of the work environment and house-keeping of the Lab

. Ensure only authorized personnel are allowed to be inside the Lab

. Maintaining and improving the operational procedures according to ISO 17025

. Ensure no outside food and drink inside the Lab.

. Ensure all responsibilities are performed in accordance with the company's established Quality and Laboratory Management System, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS 9100 & ISO 17025.

Key Competencies

· Ability to work independently and be proactive

· Basic understanding of Management System Requirements related to laboratory, calibration & MSA – AS 9100, IATF 16949, ISO9001, and ISO 17025

· Competent to perform the laboratory testing

· Competent to handle laboratory equipment

· Customer Complaint

· % of completion vs. plan

· No of non-conformance at external audit

Job Authority

· To have full access to the laboratory facilities and related documentations.

· To have full access to all resources required for the laboratory testing activities.

Diploma in Engineering preferred; those without relevant qualification but possessed mechanical testing experience will also be considered.

Minimum 1 year of laboratory related experience; experience in mechanical testing is preferred.
