Our client is a leading global financial institution seeking an AI Project Manager with a strong background in data engineering or data analytics to manage AI-related projects from planning to delivery. The ideal candidate combines project management expertise with a solid understanding of data platforms, analytics, and AI technologies to coordinate technical teams and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of AI, data engineering, and analytics projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and deliverables are met.
• Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to align project objectives.
• Translate business requirements into project plans, technical requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
• Track project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and resolve delivery issues.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, provide project updates, and communicate progress and risks.
• Ensure data quality, project documentation, and delivery standards are maintained.
• Identify opportunities to improve data workflows, analytics processes, and AI-driven solutions.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in project management or program coordination within data engineering, data analytics, AI, or technology environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and analytics workflows.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the lifecycle of AI or data-driven projects.
• Experience working with technical teams and translating business needs into actionable project requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Good to have

• Experience delivering AI/ML, generative AI, or large-scale data platform projects.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, BI tools, or cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
