Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll processing and administration.
Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll regulations, tax laws (PCB), EPF, SOCSO, and other statutory requirements.
Excellent knowledge of payroll best practices, including data entry, calculations, and reporting.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within a 100-employee organization or a recruitment agency.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Responsibilities
Accurately process full-cycle payroll for approximately 100 employees, ensuring timely and correct payment of wages, salaries, and benefits.
Manage and maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates, and deductions, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Calculate and process statutory deductions such as EPF, SOCSO, and PCB (EA Form preparation) in accordance with Malaysian labor laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management, finance, and relevant government agencies as required.
Liaise with external vendors and government bodies for payroll-related inquiries, audits, and compliance matters.
Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Stay updated on the latest payroll legislation, tax regulations, and best practices in Malaysia to ensure continuous compliance.
Handle employee payroll inquiries and provide timely and accurate information regarding their pay, deductions, and benefits.
Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all payroll information.
