I’m partnering with a leading quantitative trading firm to hire a Linux Engineer for its Singapore infrastructure team.
The search is open globally, with visa sponsorship and relocation support available for exceptional engineers committed to moving to Singapore.
You’ll optimise the physical infrastructure behind high-performance trading systems, working across Linux, servers, networking, automation and monitoring.
This is a senior individual-contributor role offering significant ownership within a lean team. The focus is Linux and bare-metal engineering—not cloud-only SRE or routine support.
What You’ll Be Doing- Manage and optimise Linux-based physical servers.
- Tune operating systems, hardware and applications for performance.
- Benchmark systems and investigate bottlenecks.
- Automate infrastructure using Bash, Python or Ruby.
- Improve monitoring, reliability and platform performance.
- Build infrastructure supporting expansion into new markets.
- Ideally 5+ years of Linux, systems, platform or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Deep Linux knowledge, ideally across CentOS or RHEL.
- Hands-on bare-metal infrastructure and performance-tuning experience.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and low-latency systems.
- Strong automation, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A genuine willingness to relocate to Singapore.
- Solarflare/Xilinx Onload or similar technologies.
- Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
- Containers, Kubernetes or GCP.
- Familiarity with C++ toolchains.
- Trading or high-performance computing experience.
- Own performance-critical infrastructure behind electronic trading.
- Influence technical decisions within a small, experienced team.
- Work on new platform and market-expansion projects.
- Build your career in Singapore’s growing quantitative trading market.
