Job Description

Requirements

About Company

Our clients is a Penang-based electronics engineering and manufacturing company that helps turn technical ideas into working products.

Since 2003, they have built capabilities across PCB design, embedded systems, prototyping, testing and high-mix, low-volume manufacturing. Unlike a typical mass-production environment, their work often involves different products, different technical challenges and different customer requirements.

That means their team gets involved in more than just one stage of the process. A design may begin as a schematic or drawing, move into prototyping and testing, and eventually become something that can be manufactured and used by a customer.

Why Join Us?

Learn Beyond One Engineering Function: You won’t be limited to just drafting or production work. You’ll gain exposure to PCB design, mechanical design, prototyping, tooling and production improvement.

See Your Work Become Something Real: A PCB layout becomes a physical board. A 3D drawing becomes a prototype. A jig you design can make an assembly process faster and more consistent.

Build Practical Engineering Skills: This role gives you hands-on exposure to tools and processes used in real product development, including Altium Designer, CAD, Gerber files, 3D printing and production fixtures.

A Good Starting Point for Fresh Graduates: You are not expected to know everything on Day 1. What matters is curiosity, attention to detail and the willingness to learn how engineering designs move into production.

About the Role

As a R&D Technician, you will support the engineering team in turning product ideas and technical designs into practical, production-ready solutions.

You will work across PCB design support, mechanical drawings, prototyping and manufacturing improvement.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys understanding how things are designed, built and improved rather than working on the same repetitive task every day.

Who We’re Looking For

·        Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

·        Diploma in Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or a related field, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Have a basic knowledge of electronics or PCB concepts.

  • Experience with Altium Designer, CAD software, PCB layout, 3D modelling or prototyping is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

·        Technical Interest: Interested in technical drawing, product design, electronics or manufacturing processes.

  • Attention to Detail: Able to work carefully with drawings, layouts, files and technical specifications.

  • Learning Agility: Willing to learn new engineering tools, software and production processes.

  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with engineers, technicians and production teams.

Good-to-Know

·        Insurance Coverage: Employees are provided with insurance coverage for added peace of mind.

·        Career Growth: The role gives you exposure across PCB design, mechanical design, prototyping and production improvement, helping you build a broader engineering foundation over time.

·        Training & Development: Training and guidance will be provided to help you strengthen your technical knowledge, software skills and practical engineering capabilities.

If you are looking for an engineering role where you can learn how PCB, mechanical design, prototyping and production actually connect, this is a strong place to build your foundation. Apply now and grow your practical R&D skills with our clients.
