Job Description

Responsibilities

Must-have requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master, delivery lead or similar in a software engineering team
  • Prior hands-on technical background (developer, QA automation, DevOps or support engineer) is strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering software releases in Scrum or Kanban teams
  • Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
  • Hands-on with Jira and Confluence (or Azure DevOps Boards)
  • Active Scrum Master certification: CSM, PSM I or equivalent

Scrum and Agile practice

  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Coach the team and Product Owner on Scrum, Kanban and Agile principles
  • Help the Product Owner keep a well-groomed, prioritised backlog with clear acceptance criteria
  • Track and improve team health using velocity, cycle time, burndown and sprint predictability
  • Identify and remove impediments, escalating where needed

Delivery management

  • Own release planning and delivery timelines for 1–2 squads
  • Manage scope, dependencies, risks, issues and change requests (RAID log)
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams: QA, DevOps, security, architecture, business stakeholders
  • Report delivery status, metrics and risks to senior stakeholders
  • Support go-live readiness, cutover planning and post-release reviews

Technical engagement

  • Understand the solution architecture and spot technical risks or dependencies early
  • Work with engineers on story breakdown, technical estimation and technical debt prioritisation
  • Monitor CI/CD pipeline health, build quality and deployment frequency
  • Promote DevOps practices: automation, test coverage, code review and Definition of Done
  • Join technical discussions on cloud, integration and environment issues
