Management Associate / Management Trainee – Special Projects & Group Operations
Location: Singapore (Multiple Business Locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Group Management / Special Projects
Experience: Fresh Graduates & Experienced Candidates Welcome
About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven, resourceful, and versatile Management Associate / Management Trainee to join our group of companies.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to gain hands-on experience across multiple businesses, industries, and management functions.
Unlike a traditional management trainee programme, this is a dynamic, hands-on, cross-functional role where you will work directly with senior management to drive business improvements, execute special projects, manage people, analyse business performance, and solve real operational challenges.
You will be involved in everything from business operations and human resources to project management, data analytics, process improvement, and new business initiatives.
We are looking for someone who can wear multiple hats, think independently, manage people effectively, and most importantly, get things done.
No two days will be the same. One day, you could be analysing business performance; the next, coordinating recruitment, implementing a new system, managing an operational issue, or overseeing a special project.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and aspires to develop into a future business leader.
Key Responsibilities1. Special Projects & Business Execution
- Work closely with senior management to plan, coordinate, and execute projects across multiple companies.
- Take ownership of assigned initiatives from initial planning through execution and completion.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, resources, and stakeholder coordination.
- Follow up on management directives and ensure tasks are properly implemented.
- Troubleshoot problems, identify practical solutions, and drive projects forward.
- Support business expansion, new ventures, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and business partners.
2. Business Operations & Management
- Support daily business operations across different companies and departments.
- Work with department heads and operational teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor operational performance and ensure management objectives are achieved.
- Step into different departments or operational functions whenever additional support is required.
- Help resolve day-to-day business challenges and ensure smooth execution.
3. Human Resources & People Management
- Assist with recruitment, candidate screening, interviews, and employee onboarding.
- Support manpower planning, workforce coordination, and staffing requirements.
- Work closely with managers and employees to address operational and people-related challenges.
- Assist in performance management, employee engagement, and staff development.
- Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee management systems.
- Monitor workforce productivity, attendance, and staffing efficiency.
- Build strong working relationships with employees across different companies and management levels.
- Help foster a positive, productive, and accountable working environment.
4. Data Analytics & Business Performance
- Collect, organise, and analyse operational, financial, HR, and business data.
- Prepare management reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, and performance summaries.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Analyse costs, productivity, manpower efficiency, and business performance.
- Translate data into actionable business recommendations.
- Support management decision-making through research and analysis.
- Use Excel, Google Sheets, AI tools, and other business software to improve reporting and efficiency.
5. Process Improvement, Technology & Automation
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve workflows, and reduce unnecessary manual work.
- Assist in implementing new business systems, software, and digital tools.
- Work with internal teams and external providers on technology-related initiatives.
- Explore opportunities to use AI, automation, and technology to improve business performance.
- Develop practical solutions to improve reporting, communication, and operational control.
- Support digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the group.
6. Management Coordination & General Business Support
- Act as an execution and coordination resource for senior management.
- Prepare presentations, business proposals, reports, and project updates.
- Attend meetings, document action items, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate activities between different companies, departments, and stakeholders.
- Conduct business research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies when required.
- Handle ad hoc business assignments and special management projects.
- Travel between different business locations to oversee projects, coordinate teams, and resolve operational matters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in operations, project management, HR, analytics, or business management are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact with employees, managers, and senior leadership.
- Good people management skills and the ability to coordinate and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and general business productivity tools.
- Able to work independently, multitask, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Highly organised, responsible, and capable of following through on assignments.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and constantly changing environments.
- Willing to take on both management-level responsibilities and hands-on operational tasks.
- Resourceful, proactive, and willing to learn unfamiliar business functions.
- Interest in AI, technology, digital tools, and business automation is an advantage.
- Possessing your own mode of transportation is highly preferred, as the role may require regular travel between different companies, offices, and operational sites across Singapore.
- Willing and able to travel between business locations when required.
Who We Are Looking For
We are not simply looking for someone with good academic qualifications.
We want someone with the right attitude, mindset, and potential to become a strong business leader.
You should be someone who:
1. Gets Things Done
You are an executor, not just a planner. When given a task or problem, you take responsibility, find solutions, and follow through until it is completed.
2. Is Good With People
You enjoy working with people and can communicate effectively with employees, managers, customers, and business partners. You understand how to coordinate, influence, and motivate others.
3. Thinks Analytically
You are comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and business data. You can identify problems, understand trends, and make logical, data-driven recommendations.
4. Can Wear Multiple Hats
You don't expect to do the same thing every day. You are comfortable switching between HR, business operations, project management, technology, and analytical work.
5. Thinks Like a Business Owner
You consider costs, efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, and business results when making decisions.
6. Is Independent and Resourceful
You don't need someone to constantly tell you what to do. You take initiative, research unfamiliar subjects, and figure out how to get things moving.
7. Is Hands-On and Adaptable
You are equally comfortable working on a spreadsheet, interviewing a candidate, visiting a warehouse or business site, coordinating a team, or managing a new project.
8. Has Leadership Potential
You are ambitious, responsible, and eager to grow into a position where you can independently manage projects, departments, or entire business units.
What We Offer
- Direct Exposure to Senior Management: Work closely with decision-makers and gain practical insights into how businesses are managed.

- Career Growth: Opportunities to progress into management and leadership positions based on your capabilities and performance.
- Varied & Dynamic Work: Experience a role where each day presents different responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities to learn.
- Technology Exposure: Gain experience with modern business tools, AI, automation, and operational improvement initiatives.

You will be challenged to think independently, take initiative, and deliver results across multiple companies and business functions.
We believe that the best future managers are developed through real responsibility, hands-on experience, and exposure to different business challenges.
We value attitude, initiative, adaptability, intelligence, and execution over years of experience.
