Summary:-
Independently manages assigned accounting functions and ensures accurate, timely and compliant accounting records, reconciliations and reporting within established policies and controls.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Manage assigned AP/AR/GL, reconciliations and accounting processes, ensuring accurate, complete, timely, and properly supported recording of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Review accounting transactions and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper authorization, appropriate accounting treatment, and compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, accounting schedules, financial reports, and other supporting documentation within the required reporting deadlines.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and routine financial issues, coordinating with relevant departments, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, and escalating complex or unresolved matters to the appropriate level of management.
- Support fixed asset, intercompany, e-Invoice, SST, tax, and audit matters, including maintaining relevant records, preparing schedules and supporting documentation, performing reconciliations, and coordinating with auditors and external parties where required.
- Coordinate with internal departments, customers, suppliers, auditors, and other stakeholders to obtain information, resolve accounting matters, facilitate reconciliations, and ensure timely completion of financial and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls while identifying process gaps and driving continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial reporting quality.
- Guide and support junior accounting staff by providing technical assistance, reviewing assigned work, resolving routine issues, monitoring deadlines, and promoting compliance with established accounting procedures and good work practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:-
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2–4 years relevant accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, double entry and month-end closing.
- Proficient in accounting software & MS Office.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
