Job Responsibilities

• Review consultant drawings and carry out quantity take-off for pre- and post-contract works. 

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates and project budgets. 

• Obtain and compare quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers. 

• Coordinate tender exercises, evaluate bids and prepare tender comparison/award recommendations. 

• Negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers to achieve competitive pricing. 

• Prepare and evaluate interim payments, variation orders and final accounts. 

• Manage contractual matters, including claims from sub-contractors and suppliers. 

• Prepare Letters of Award, contracts, notices and other contractual documents. 

• Coordinate with project teams on variation orders, extension of time, loss and expense claims, etc. 

• Attend site valuations, joint measurements and project/site meetings. 

• Prepare cost analysis and recommend alternative designs or cost-saving options. 

• Liaise effectively with consultants, construction teams, sub-contractors and suppliers. 

• Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.

Requirements:

·    Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or its equivalent.

·    At least 3 years of working experience in related field Main-Contractor Cum Developer.

·    Well-versed on up-to-date material costing.

·    Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin as there are the main languages used in the site.

·    Computer or software skills in Microsoft Office application, Autocad, Revit and Glodon.

·    Possess strong contractual knowledge, positive thinking, negotiable and leadership skills.

·    Analytical and objective driven personality.

· Able to work under minimum supervision at a tight-deadline and fast-paced environment.
