Born in Year 2005, in a small apartment in Saijyo, Higashi-Hirohima, Japan. Co-founded by Dr Koh and wife, Lydia Wong, while Dr Koh was doing his PhD study in Hiroshima University in Marine Engineering. It started in early winter, the month of December, where snow started hitting the 9th floor apartment balcony...

The name ShaShinKi® is the brainchild of Lydia (wife of Dr Koh). In Japanese, shashin means photograph, ki means machine. When combine these two words together, it forms the meaning of a machine that is able to capture photograph. In short, ShaShinKi® also means CAMERA. What can be a better to name a camera business that was born in Japan using a Japanese word of camera?!

Today, ShaShinKi® is the First & Largest Online Camera Shop in Malaysia. Over 30,000 products online, over 130,000 successful transactions, over 100,000 registered customers, featured in major newspapers in Malaysia...etc., ShaShinKi® has become the benchmark, source and reference of photographic equipment in Malaysia. In Year 2014, SHASHINKI SDN BHD (***2830-P) was established, and all operations of ShaShinKi® were shifted to the new company. The word ShaShinKi® is a trademark of SHASHINKI SDN BHD.
