When we formed the practice of Jayadeep Hari & Jamil in 1997, our mission was to change the negative perception of the traditional mould of law firms in Malaysia - too formal, too distant and too far removed from clients’ day-to-day commercial needs. So, we made it our business to get connected with our clients more intimately; educated and equipped ourselves with the knowledge, philosophies of management and the business cultures of our clients; learnt the art of giving innovative and practical legal solutions which are custom made to suit clients’ needs. We set out, and became in many ways, our clients’ “preferred legal partners”. Over the years, we worked very hard to achieve this mission and our constant striving has seen us grow from strength to strength. Today, we are seen as a young and dynamic legal firm operating in Kuala Lumpur, with branch offices in Selangor and Kelantan. With our team of lawyers, para-legals & support staff we handle a variety of work (which we loosely say as corporate & commercial, litigation and conveyancing) for several industries that range from rail to real estate; from construction to healthcare; or from insurance to information and communication technology. Thinking back, we appreciate that beyond having legal solutions and efficient team members, it was equally important that we cared enough about everything that we did. We cared about our clients and their business, we cared about our employees and their well being, we cared about our environment and its preservation. It is the caring, that singularly, made our mission possible. So, it followed naturally that we coined our motto: “We Care”. This motto most aptly describes us from where we stand and simply tells you that “at Jayadeep Hari & Jamil, we care…”. It is hoped that Jayadeep Hari & Jamil will be referred to not merely as lawyers but as caring partners that supports you in all that you do.
