About the role

The candidate will be attached with Strategic Sourcing Department during the internship period including but not limited to the following learnings/trainings:

• Analyse shipment data to assess market prices and support effective price negotiations.
• Perform strategic analysis in terms of pricing and product quality in choosing the right vendor
• Monitor any government regulation for importation of materials.
• Coordinate material and vendor qualifications processes for new materials and vendors.
• Strategic sourcing and procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials as required by the new product development project
• Support in purchasing related activities (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, etc) with manufacturer and third-party oversight to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications for materials and new commercial product launch.
• Maintain vendor and material data in SAP and assist in the development of procedures or guidelines to ensure a smooth production operation
• Coordinate logistic activities and custom clearance with external/internal customers and suppliers
• Coordinate material and vendor qualification processes for new materials and vendors.
• Accommodate the business direction and requirements to ensure the success of any new product launch with a proactive approach
• Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the management

About you

• Bachelor’s degree holder in (Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Business studies or any relevant fields)
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis. (i.e., mathematical formula, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) is advantageous
• Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results
• Proficient communication skills and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Willing to work in Novugen Pharma, Manufacturing Plant, Bandar Baru Enstek, Negeri Sembilan.
