AI Engineer / LLM Engineer

We are looking for a skilled AI Engineer / LLM Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered solutions using Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and modern AI technologies.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing and evaluating LLM-based applications, building automated AI pipelines, and integrating AI solutions into production environments. You should be passionate about emerging AI technologies and committed to building reliable, secure, and maintainable systems that deliver real business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Python, LLMs, NLP, and semantic models.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize LLMs to improve response quality, accuracy, reliability, and overall performance.
• Analyze model behavior, identify failure modes, and implement improvements to AI system performance.
• Build and maintain automated AI pipelines for model training, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop and integrate LLM-based solutions with backend services, REST APIs, and existing business systems.
• Design and implement scalable data processing and AI architectures.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, and distributed data processing technologies.
• Implement and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Optimize GPU utilization, infrastructure costs, and model inference performance.
• Establish CI/CD workflows and DevOps practices to support reliable AI deployments.
• Explore and adopt emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver practical, scalable AI solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python and software development best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, or semantic models.
• Experience fine-tuning, evaluating, and optimizing LLMs, including assessing output quality and identifying model failure modes.
• Experience building automated AI pipelines for training, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience developing REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies.
• Understanding of scalable data processing and AI system architectures.
• Experience with Spark or other technologies within the Apache ecosystem is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps tooling, and production deployment practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on building robust and maintainable software.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• A proactive attitude toward learning and adopting new AI advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience integrating LLM APIs, such as OpenAI, Claude, or similar providers.
• Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI safety, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based AI deployments.
• Experience with GPU orchestration, inference optimization, and infrastructure cost management.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and large-scale data processing.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with analytical thinking, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering scalable, reliable, and high-quality AI applications.

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
