Services Engineer (Power) – Data Center Systems

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Services Engineer (Power) to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical power infrastructure within the data center industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of power systems, particularly Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), and Busway systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of UPS systems, PDUs, Busway, and associated electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and operational uptime.
• Attend service calls and provide emergency technical support for power system failures, faults, and alarms.
• Support project implementation and ensure all electrical installation works comply with approved designs and relevant standards.
• Prepare and maintain service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical assistance, customer training, and handover support after installation.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams on spare parts, equipment upgrades, and technical support.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with electrical safety procedures and industry requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of UPS systems, PDUs, or electrical distribution systems.
• Experience with major UPS brands will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety requirements, IEC standards, and applicable local electrical regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to travel and perform on-site work at customer locations.
• Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
