About this opportunity
The Export & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing and expanding the company’s international trade operations. This role oversees export documentation, regulatory compliance, logistics coordination, and customer relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant export of goods. The position also supports market development initiatives and works closely with internal teams to optimize export processes and drive international business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and sufficient availability of finished goods to fulfil export customer orders and shipment requirements.
- Plan, forecast and follow up on production requirements to maintain adequate stock availability for export orders.
- Lead end-to-end export logistics arrangements, including transportation, freight forwarding and shipment scheduling.
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end export operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant shipment of goods.
- Responsible for shipment documentations and logistics arrangement.
- Liaise closely with customers, OEM partners, freight forwarders, transporters, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure smooth export, import, and local delivery clearance.
- Support production planning by forecasting export, local, and OEM stock requirements and following up on production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Ensure all export, local, and OEM-related documentation and submissions are completed accurately and on time to minimize delays, risks, and non-compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and contractual requirements related to export operations.
- Resolve transportation, logistics, customs and customer-related issues efficiently to maintain service quality and business continuity.
- Perform any other duties or assignments as required by Management or the Company from time to time.
Key Experience, Competencies & Knowledge
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, with at least 2 years of experience in planning.
- Experience in export operations, shipment coordination, logistics planning and order fulfilment.
- Good knowledge of customs procedures, rules and regulations, including export documentation and compliance requirements.
- Familiar with logistics-related laws, regulatory requirements and industry compliance standards.
- Strong planning, execution, reporting and monitoring skills to ensure efficient logistics operations and timely shipment deliveries.
- Good negotiation and coordination skills when dealing with customers, freight forwarders, transporters and other stakeholders.
- Strong customer orientation, with the ability to understand requirements and deliver timely, effective solutions.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Proactive, resourceful and results oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond promptly to urgent requests.
- Ability to monitor logistics activities, identify process gaps and contribute to continuous process improvement.
