Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Chiller & Freezer Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including chillers, freezers, cold rooms, and related equipment. The technician will ensure all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of chiller and freezer systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans.
• Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and control systems.
• Monitor refrigerant levels and handle refrigerants safely according to regulations.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls.
• Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and technical support when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and energy efficiency.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years' relevant experience in refrigeration, chillers, freezers, cold rooms or HVAC.
• GDL license required/preferred, depending on job requirements.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with brands such as Sanden, Panasonic, Kuhler, Liebherr or equivalent is an advantage.
• Able to read technical drawings, refrigeration schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Good communication, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, standby or emergency call-outs when required.
• Willing to travel to customer sites.

Added Advantage

• Experience with HVAC/refrigeration control systems.
• Experience with ammonia, Freon or other refrigerants.
• Electrical maintenance experience.
• BMS experience.
• Additional HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or safety certifications.

Working Conditions

• May work in cold/freezer rooms, confined spaces and noisy machinery areas.
• Working at heights and indoors/outdoors when required.
• Manual handling of tools and equipment.
• PPE and strict safety procedures required.
• Site travel, standby and emergency call-outs may be required.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
