About this opportunity
The Export & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating end-to-end export and logistics activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers. The role oversees outstanding purchase orders, shipment planning, transportation and forwarding arrangements, export and customs documentation, stock inventory, and cargo movement. Working closely with customers and logistics partners, this position ensures all shipments and required documentation are completed accurately and on schedule while responding effectively to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and sufficient availability of finished goods to fulfil export customer orders and shipment requirements.
- Plan, forecast and follow up on production requirements to maintain adequate stock availability for export orders.
- Coordinate end-to-end export logistics arrangements, including transportation, freight forwarding and shipment scheduling.
- Manage export shipments to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other assigned markets, ensuring goods are delivered according to schedule.
- Prepare, review and maintain accurate export and shipping documentation, including relevant customs and permit requirements.
- Monitor export order fulfilment, shipment status and cargo movement to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Liaise closely with transporters, freight forwarders, customers and internal stakeholders to coordinate shipment requirements and resolve operational issues.
- Verify transporters’ and logistics service providers’ invoices for accuracy prior to processing.
- Identify and resolve issues related to transportation, logistics, export processes and customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Ensure export and logistics activities are carried out in accordance with applicable procedures, documentation requirements and delivery timelines.
- Perform any other duties or assignments as required by Management or the Company from time to time.
Key Experience, Competencies & Knowledge
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, with at least 1 year of experience in planning.
- Experience in export operations, shipment coordination, logistics planning and order fulfilment.
- Good knowledge of export and shipping documentation, customs procedures, rules and regulations.
- Familiar with logistics-related laws, regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Good understanding and application of Incoterms for international shipments.
- Strong planning, execution, reporting and monitoring skills to ensure timely shipment and order fulfilment.
- Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills, particularly when dealing with customers, transporters and freight forwarders.
- Strong customer orientation, with the ability to understand and respond effectively to customer requirements.
- Able to effectively monitor, control and continuously improve processes.
