Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field.

• Relevant experience in research and development, preferably in skin care, cosmetics or personal care products.

• Mandarin speaker is mandatory for this position.

• Good knowledge of cosmetic formulation development, ingredients and laboratory testing.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills.

• Detail-oriented and able to conduct product evaluations accurately.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced R&D Chemist to develop and improve skin care and personal care formulations, conduct laboratory testing and evaluate ingredients and packaging to ensure product performance and quality.

Job Responsibilities

Formulation Development

• Design and develop new formulations for products based on specific requirements or objectives.

• Analyse existing formulations to identify areas for improvement or innovation.

Prototype Creation

• Develop prototypes of cosmetic formulations in the laboratory.

• Conduct sensory evaluations and product efficacy testing to assess product performance and consumer preferences.

Ingredient & Packaging Selection

• Research and evaluate cosmetic ingredients for their functional properties, safety profiles and compatibility with other ingredients.

• Select and optimise appropriate packaging that meets functionality, durability and efficiency requirements.
