The Design Engineer Intern supports STME's engineers in preparing design calculations, drawings and technical submissions for electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control (EMI&C) projects.Under supervision, the intern will:

• Drawings — Prepare and revise single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, power and lighting layouts, cable routing, control panel and instrumentation drawings in AutoCAD.
• Material Taking Off — Quantity take-offs comparison between Tender Drawings, Detail Design Drawing and SHOP Drawings.
• Material Selection — Compare vendor data for switchgear, transformers, cables, MCCs, PLCs and field instruments; help prepare technical compliance and equipment schedules.
• Submissions — Compile material submissions, design reports and drawing packages for consultant and authority approval (ST, TNB, Telekom).
• Site support — Join site visits, inspections and testing and commissioning activities to see how designs are built and verified.
• Learning — Keep a weekly logbook and complete the industrial training report required by the university.

Pay: RM1,000.00 per month
