ACCOUNT MANAGER – JOB SCOPE

1. Account Management

• Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
• Act as the main point of contact between the company and assigned customers.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure their needs are handled effectively.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues or complaints promptly.
• Maintain strong and professional relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

2. Sales & Business Development

• Develop sales strategies to achieve assigned sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
• Develop existing accounts by introducing new products, promotions and business opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, promotions, payment terms and other commercial matters within company guidelines.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.

3. Key Account Management

• Manage key accounts such as supermarkets, minimarkets, wholesalers, distributors and other major customers.
• Monitor account performance, sales volume and purchasing trends.
• Ensure key customers receive proper follow-up and support.
• Develop account plans and strategies to grow each assigned account.
• Monitor competitor activities, market pricing and customer purchasing behaviour.

4. Order & Sales Coordination

• Monitor customer orders and ensure orders are properly followed up until completion.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, Logistics and Finance departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Follow up on stock availability, delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Handle issues involving short delivery, damaged goods, wrong items or delayed delivery.

5. Payment & Collection

• Monitor customer payment status and outstanding balances.
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments.
• Work closely with the Finance/AR team on account collection.
• Ensure customers comply with agreed credit terms.
• Escalate overdue or high-risk accounts to management when necessary.

6. Promotion & Marketing

• Coordinate customer promotions, trade promotions, discounts and sales campaigns.
• Monitor promotional performance and customer response.
• Coordinate with the Marketing team for customer-specific activities.
• Ensure agreed promotional activities are properly implemented.

7. Market & Competitor Analysis

• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, products and promotional activities.
• Collect feedback from customers regarding products, pricing and competitors.
• Provide market information and recommendations to management.
• Identify new products or opportunities based on market demand.

8. Sales Reporting

• Prepare regular sales and account performance reports.
• Monitor sales targets versus actual achievement.
• Analyse sales performance by customer, product and period.
• Provide updates to management regarding major accounts, sales opportunities and customer issues.

9. Customer Service

• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and requests professionally.
• Ensure customer issues are followed up and resolved within the required timeframe.
• Maintain good communication with customers through phone, WhatsApp, email or face-to-face meetings.

10. General Duties

• Attend customer meetings, business discussions and sales presentations when required.
• Conduct regular customer visits where necessary.
• Maintain proper records of customer information, pricing, agreements and sales activities.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth customer operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Sales Manager, General Manager or Management.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
