Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager (Commercial) to lead

the commercial operations and business growth of our precast concrete manufacturing

business. The successful candidate must possess strong commercial acumen, extensive

industry knowledge, and proven leadership experience in the precast concrete and

construction materials sector, particularly involving standard precast products, spun piles,

drainage products, concrete sleepers, pipes, and related infrastructure products. Some

knowledge in IBS would be useful.

This role will be responsible for driving sales revenue, developing market strategies,

managing key customer relationships, overseeing project execution, and leading cross functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Business Development

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, projects, and market segments.
• Maintain strong relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
• Lead tender submissions, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.

Sales & Customer Management

• Drive sales growth for precast concrete products, including:

o Piles - Spun piles / Square piles / others

o Drainage systems

o Box culverts

o Concrete pipes

o Railway sleepers

o Infrastructure precast products

• Manage major accounts and key customers.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.

Operations & Project Coordination

• Collaborate with production, engineering, project, and logistics teams to ensure

project delivery.

• Monitor project performance, profitability, and contractual obligations.
• Support project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

Leadership & Management

• Lead and develop commercial, sales, and project teams.
• Establish KPIs and performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related discipline

Minimum 10 - 15 years' working experience in the precast concrete, construction

materials, piling, or infrastructure industry. At least 5 years in a Senior Management /

General Manager role.

Proven experience in commercial management, sales management, and business

development.

Strong experience in precast concrete products, spun piles, concrete pipes, drains,

sleepers and infrastructure products

Proven track record in sales, business development and commercial management

Experience in managing large projects and multi-functional teams.

Strong network with developers, contractors, consultants and government agencies

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of:

o Precast concrete manufacturing processes

o Construction projects

o Infrastructure developments

o Tendering and contract management

o Costing and pricing strategies

Leadership Competencies:

• Strong business and commercial acumen.
• Strategic thinking and decision-making capability.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
