• Education: Preferably SPM or above.

• Work Experience: Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience in the forwarding or logistics industry.

• Special Skills & Training:

  • Experience in liner, freight forwarding, and related forwarding operations.

  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

• Provide training and impart shipping knowledge to the Customer Service team.

• Review and verify quotations prepared by the Customer Service Department for agents and customers.

• Negotiate contracts and rates with external service providers, including shipping lines, agents, transporters, and warehouses.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, internal departments, and carriers.

• Foster positive working relationships and effective communication across departments.

• Strive to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service and timely issue resolution.

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to shipments.

• Manage export and import costing and quotations for FCL, LCL, and bonded trucking services.

• Coordinate and respond to enquiries from agents.

• Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations teams to resolve queries or issues raised by customs and customers.

• Monitor the Prosea/Proair systems and verify data entries made by the team to identify and prevent errors that may result in underbilling.

• Prepare monthly reports detailing departmental performance and key operational activities.

• Conduct regular telemarketing activities with existing customers to strengthen business relationships and identify new enquiries or business opportunities.
