HR Manager / Senior HR Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client, a fast-growing organisation in the beauty industry, is looking for a HR Manager/ Senior HR Manager to lead the entire HR department and build its HR function from the ground up. This is a newly created role, so you'll have a blank canvas to shape how people are hired, developed, and supported as the business scales.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building the HR foundation: Set up the HR department and design the policies, processes, and frameworks the business needs to grow sustainably.
• Shaping culture: Help define and strengthen a people-first culture that matches the organisation's dynamic, creative spirit.
• Attracting talent: Create hiring strategies and recruitment processes that bring in the right people as the team expands.
• Developing people: Introduce performance management, learning, and career development programmes that help employees grow.
• Managing compensation and benefits: Build fair, competitive pay and benefits structures that support retention and engagement.
• Ensuring compliance: Keep HR practices aligned with Malaysian employment laws and regulations.
• Partnering with leadership: Act as a trusted advisor on organisational design, workforce planning, and people-related decisions.
• Supporting employee relations: Handle employee concerns with fairness and care, and build a positive, engaged workplace.

What We're Looking For

• Solid HR experience, including time in a senior or leadership role
• Hands-on generalist knowledge across recruitment, performance, compensation, employee relations, and HR policy
• A self-starter who is comfortable working with ambiguity and building structure from scratch
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels
