Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science or Chemical Engineering

At least 3 years’ experience in water treatment or a laboratory

Candidates from FMCG, agriculture or pharmaceuticals with transferable expertise are also welcome

Strong organic and inorganic chemistry knowledge, creative product-development capabilities and good English communication skills

Patents or successful product launches are highly valued, while APVMA, SPAN or Halal regulatory knowledge is an advantage

Applicants must be Malaysian citizens or hold valid work authorization

Lead innovation and formulation (80% of the role), developing new water-treatment chemicals and improving existing products’ stability, concentration and cost-effectiveness

Conduct R&D and product trials for water sanitation, industrial wastewater, cooling towers and agriculture; collaborate with external laboratories and the Chemical Engineer to scale up production

Provide customer technical support, assist production and quality control, and manage product implementation, Bills of Materials, processes and technical specifications

Support regulatory compliance (20% of the role), including local and international product-registration documentation and formulation safety requirements under GHS/SDS
