Responsible for managing the commercial, contractual, and cost-control aspects of foundation and substructure construction projects, including bored piling, driven piling, diaphragm wall, pile cap, foundation, excavation, earth retaining and related civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-off, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and cost estimates for piling and foundation works.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and tender documents.
- Measure and verify quantities for:
- Bored piles
- Driven piles
- Pile caps
- Diaphragm walls
- Reinforcement steel
- Concrete works
- Excavation and earthworks
- Temporary works and retaining structures
- Prepare tender pricing and cost comparisons.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from piling subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist contractors.
- Prepare and submit progress claims based on actual work completed.
- Verify subcontractors' progress claims, measurements, and supporting documents.
- Monitor project costs, committed costs, and budget against actual expenditure.
- Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO), including additional piling depth, changes in pile diameter, additional reinforcement, concrete quantities, excavation, and other site instructions.
- Assist in preparation and evaluation of Extension of Time (EOT), loss and expense, and contractual claims.
- Monitor material usage and costs, particularly reinforcement steel, concrete, bentonite/polymer, casing, steel plates, and other piling materials.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Construction Managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
- Conduct regular site measurements and quantity verification.
- Maintain proper records of pile installation records, concrete casting records, test results, as-built drawings, site instructions, and variation documentation.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and project financial reports.
- Assist in preparation, negotiation, and settlement of final accounts.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
