Full job description

The Production & Planning Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficient operations, optimal resource utilization, and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role serves as the key point of contact between production, warehouse, procurement, and management teams to maximize productivity while maintaining quality, food safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Monitor daily production activities and promptly resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions.
• Track actual production output against planned targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all production planning and scheduling matters.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth production flow.
• Prioritize operational efficiency and resource utilization to maximize production output.
• Analyze production data and prepare reports on productivity, efficiency, and performance indicators.
• Ensure raw materials, packaging materials, and manpower requirements are adequately planned.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing production procedures, workflows, and SOPs.
• Recommend improvements to production planning processes, systems, and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce wastage, and improve operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels, including both local and foreign workers, to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Maintain accurate production records and planning documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, Halal, ISO 22000, and company food safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in production planning, production coordination, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan production schedules and closely monitor production performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, including local and foreign workers.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal, and food safety standards is an advantage.
