The Enterprise Development team at RoviSys is expanding our Asia-Pacific team and is looking for a Software Developer to join our Malaysia office. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the internal business systems that are critical to RoviSys’ day-to-day operations.

In this full-stack development role, you will work across the entire software development lifecycle – from requirement gathering and design to development, testing, maintenance, and support. You will partner directly with business stakeholders across the company and collaborate with intelligent, talented and dedicated teammates in our global Enterprise Development team.

Experience Level:

We are considering both entry-level and experienced candidates. The scope of responsibilities will be aligned to the successful candidate’s experience.

Description of Work:

• Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, build, and test full-stack web applications, covering user interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and databases.
• Maintain, enhance, and support existing internal business applications, including troubleshooting and resolving user-reported issues.
• Develop quality, maintainable code in accordance with established RoviSys development standards and best practices.
• Build and support data integrations and reporting solutions across internal business systems.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and work tracking using Azure DevOps.
• Support build, release, and deployment activities for applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and user guides.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business users across RoviSys’ global offices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Entry-level candidates: programming experience in an object-oriented language and web technologies through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Experienced candidates: hands-on experience building and supporting web applications in a professional environment; experience with the technologies listed above is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of software development good practices such as source control, unit testing, and code reviews.
• Strong team player, able to work collaboratively as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Active, takes initiative to keep up to date with technology trends.
