The Role

As a Data Engineer focused on Customer Data Integration, you will build, integrate and support the customer data pipelines that power a Marketing Automation Platform and Insider One. This is an onsite contract role where you will work across data extraction, transformation, API integrations, workflow orchestration and production support, collaborating closely with business analysts and vendors to bring customer data solutions to life.

What You'll Do

• Develop and optimise SQL queries, datasets and customer profiling assets from multiple enterprise data tables

• Design and implement ETL/ELT processes, and process large datasets using Spark, Impala or enterprise data platforms

• Develop and maintain REST API integrations, including JSON payload generation, authentication, batching, retries, error handling and failed-record reprocessing

• Build and support workflow orchestration using Airflow, NiFi or similar tools, managing scheduling, dependencies, restart and recovery

• Configure and support Insider One technical integrations and customer attribute ingestion

• Implement data quality validation and reconciliation checks, troubleshoot issues and conduct root cause analysis

• Manage API credentials, connectivity, monitoring, logging and production support activities

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a related field

• 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or database development

• Strong skills in SQL, database development and Python

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, Spark, Hadoop, Impala and Hive

• Experience with orchestration and scheduling tools such as Airflow, NiFi or Control-M

• Strong troubleshooting, data quality, data reconciliation and production support capability

• Advantageous: banking or financial services experience, and CDP, CRM or marketing platform integration exposure
